The next step
Now that we’ve received your packs back, we’re now going to write to your lenders to request your loan paperwork. They legally have up to 56 days (8 weeks) to respond to this request and while most reply a lot sooner, be prepared to wait the full 8 weeks.
Once we have your loan paperwork we’ll check each borrowing for mis sold PPI; if you have it then we’ll get your money back and if you don’t – we’ll let you know. If you have a mis sold PPI policy, we’ll request a refund from the policy provider and, once again, they’ll have 56 days (8 weeks) to reply. As soon as we receive a response from the lender – we’ll let you know.
REMEMBER: If you’re making claims against a number of borrowings, e.g. a loan, credit card and a mortgage then we’ll contact you about each individual claim. This may mean you get an email update for each one, but this way you know how each individual claim is progressing.
